Access to Patients

HRCCR is located in the center of Hampton Roads whose seven cities yield a population of 1.5 million.

HRCCR has a research database of 5,000 patients and a direct mailing list of over 50,000 patients diagnosed with hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, obesity and osteoporosis.

Our Patient Care Coordinator, Sally Pepperman, and her assistants work diligently to place prospective patients in appropriate studies.  It is this process which has allowed us to dramatically reduce the number of screen failures, insuring high randomization rate.
